Landscape presets: what suits which light

The same landscape looks completely different at noon, at sunset and on an overcast day. That's why the presets here are grouped by light and subject. “Golden hour” boosts warm orange tones and gently mutes blues. “Forest” works with greens, and the “Sea” presets add turquoise to water and sky without making it garish.

The most common problem with outdoor photos is a gray sky and a flat image on a cloudy day. That's what the “Overcast” filter is for: its presets lift the shadows, add saturation and a touch of warmth so the shot stops looking dull. If the effect is too strong, reduce it with the slider — 70–100% is usually enough for landscapes.

Frequently asked questions
