Phone photos sometimes open sideways or upside down. The camera misread the orientation, or the viewer ignores the rotation tag. Here you can turn the image by 90°, 180° or 270° and mirror it if needed.
Flipping solves different problems. Text in a mirror selfie reads backwards. A face on a portrait should look toward the copy on a layout. You can combine both actions, and the preview changes after every click.
Use “Left 90°” or “Right 90°”. Two clicks in a row give you 180°.
Horizontal flip swaps left and right. Vertical flip swaps top and bottom.
Turns in 90° steps only move pixels around, so sharpness stays the same.
Rotation runs in your browser tab. The site never receives or stores your photo.
Order doesn't matter: flip first and rotate later, or the other way round. Click a button again to undo it. The result size is shown under the preview; after a 90° turn, width and height swap.
Rotation itself loses nothing. A small loss can happen only when saving as JPG or WebP, because both formats compress. Save as PNG if you need an exact copy of the pixels.
PNG and WebP keep the original transparency. JPG has no transparency, so those areas are filled with white rather than black.
No, only 90° steps and flips are available. This tool won't straighten a tilted horizon.
Rotating turns the frame around its center. Flipping creates a mirror image along one axis without turning it.
Cameras often store orientation in a separate tag, and some apps ignore it. Rotating here bakes the orientation into the pixels.
JPEG, PNG, WebP, BMP, GIF, AVIF and HEIC up to 30 MB. You can save as JPG, PNG or WebP.
