Cut the part you need out of an MP4, MOV, WebM or MKV file: pick the start and end, preview the clip and save it.
Trimming happens in your browser — the video isn't uploaded to a server, and fast mode doesn't re-encode the file, so quality stays the same.

Trim video online: keep only the part you need
Often a video does not need compressing, just shortening. Cut the dead time at both ends, grab a moment for a story, or send a colleague a few minutes of a meeting. A short clip also gets past messenger and email size limits more easily.
Set the start and end with sliders, with the “Start here / End here” buttons or by typing exact times. You can preview the clip before saving. Trimming runs in your browser tab, and the file is not uploaded anywhere.
Original quality
Fast mode copies video and audio without re-encoding, so there is no blur and no artifacts.
Frame-accurate when needed
“Precise trim” cuts exactly at the times you set and saves the clip as a widely compatible MP4.
Your recordings stay yours
We never see the video or even its name, because it never reaches our server.
Big files
Up to 1000 MB per video and up to three videos at a time, with no daily limit.
Fast or precise trimming
Video is stored as keyframes plus the changes between them. Fast mode cuts on keyframes and re-encodes nothing. The clip is ready in seconds and keeps its original format. The catch is that it may start a second or two early, or more in screen recordings. Precise mode re-encodes the clip to H.264 MP4 and cuts exactly where you said. It takes noticeably longer, because your browser does the encoding.
If the preview does not show
Some browsers cannot play certain formats, such as MKV or HEVC iPhone videos in Chrome on Windows. You can still trim them: the tool reads the duration, and you set the cut points with the sliders or exact times.
If the clip is still too big
When even the trimmed part exceeds a messenger limit, shrink it with “Compress Video”. To keep only the clip's sound, use “Video to MP3”.
Frequently asked questions
Fast mode cuts at the nearest keyframe so it does not have to re-encode. For frame-accurate cuts, turn on “Precise trim”.
In fast mode it matches the original: MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV and so on. In precise mode it is always MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio.
One pass gives one clip. For another one, add the same video again and set new cut points.
In fast mode, yes. Precise mode may run out of memory on a phone with little RAM. In that case use fast mode or switch to a computer.
