MP3 quality
The sweet spot for music and most videos.
Video to MP3 online: keep just the audio
Sometimes you only need the sound from a video. It might be a song from a music video, a recorded lecture or a podcast for your walk. An MP3 is many times smaller than the video and plays anywhere, from your phone to your car stereo.
The tool takes the first audio track and encodes it to MP3 at 128, 192 or 320 kbps. The work is done by FFmpeg, which your browser loads from our domain as a WebAssembly module. The video itself stays on your computer or phone.
No daily limits
Your device does the converting, not our server. So there is no queue and no cap on files per day.
Up to 10 files at once
Each up to 1000 MB. Several finished MP3s download together as one ZIP.
Three quality levels
128, 192 or 320 kbps. The site remembers your choice for next time.
Works on phones
Pick a video from your iPhone or Android gallery and save the MP3 without installing an app.
Which bitrate to pick
Bitrate is how much data goes into each second of sound. 128 kbps is about 1 MB per minute and is plenty for speech. 192 kbps (about 1.4 MB per minute) suits music and most videos. 320 kbps (about 2.4 MB per minute) is the MP3 maximum and makes sense for good headphones. A higher bitrate cannot make the sound better than it was in the video.
Limitations
Speed depends on your device, so an old phone takes noticeably longer than a laptop. Only the first audio track is kept, which means a multi-language film gives you the main language. If the video has no sound, the tool tells you.
When you only need part of it
To save one song or quote from a long recording, cut it out first with “Trim Video”. Then turn that clip into an MP3 here.

Your browser downloads the processing engine once, about 30 MB. After that it comes from the cache and new files start right away.
No. Only FFmpeg is downloaded from us. Your browser reads the file from disk in chunks and processes it locally.
Not yet. MP3 is the only output because every device opens it. At 192–320 kbps the difference from the original is hard to hear.
